Look for Simon Watts and his artwork in Kustom Graphics 2

Look towards the back of this latest hardback release from Korero books and you'll find some familiar looking shaved headed fellow and some of his paintings. Look for it at your local Kustom Kulture outlet. There seems to be one on every corner these days but if you can't find one go here http://www.korerobooks.co.uk/kustomgraphics2.html

Simon Watts doing a little striping at the shop last week.

Many of you may not know this but Simon Watts has been striping forever. Just look at how old he is and you know it's true. He's been featured at one time or another in just about every hot rod magazine in the world. If you've got anything you'd like striped come by and have a chat. It's well worth convincing him to drag out his brushes.

5. Scroll down and start at 1. so that this lot makes some sense:)

And find out the what the hell I'm on about with all this scribbling.

4. The paintings that lead to the tattoos

It led to looser a style that eventually influenced my painting style and is now influencing my tattoos. It's kind of different but I think it works and hopefully some of you will find it interesting too and allow me to make a mess on you sometime:)

3. Gettin Loose.

I loved this fact because it did a couple of things. It helped me overcome my inherent need to nitpick and overthink my art. It really loosened me up creatively and introduced a more subconscious or "Unthinking" element to my work. Instead of trying to be a control freak I totally loosened up in everything I did. From my drawings on up.

2. It all started hiding from the cops.

Years ago when I was living in London I used to run around in the middle of the night leave my mark. And because the cops don't like you making a mess in that pristine little city, you had to kind of work fast to avoid capture. Having to work fast ended up having a huge influence on how I drew.

1. So what's with all the squiggly lines?

I've been trying something new tattoo-wise and I just thought I'd share with you where the hell this all comes from. Just in case you think "Who is this moron and why can't he bloody draw properly!!"
